Airborne fibers can enter the lungs and cause a number of respiratory related problems. As long as the asbestos fibers stay in-place they aren’t hazardous.

To make matters more complicated, in Virginia, there are five (5) governmental agencies that regulate asbestos. Each agency has its own set of rules. This makes life difficult for the construction industry.
